How to make healthy, low fat & tasty DATES & NUTS CAKE WITHOUT EGG, BUTTER & OVEN.


       As people are moving towards fat free and calorie-less healthy, tasty and nutritious foods. This recipe gives you a perfect solution for this. People of any kind, all over the world (kids, younger, older, diabetic, those who diet) can enjoy this cake without any intention of high fat and calorie risks. Both vegetarians and pure non-vegetarians, and who undergo fasting during prayers can also consume, as the cake is purely veg.  And it only takes around 1 hour 10 minutes to prepare. And this particular cake doesn’t contain any artificial added flavour, colour or essence. Enjoy this delicious cake recipe. 
Ingredients:
Maida (flour) --- 2 cups
Dates --- ¾ cup
Nuts --- ( Badam, Pista, Cashew, Raisin) --- ¼ cup
Milk --- 1 ½ cup
Sugar --- (powdered) ---1 cup
Oil (sunflower/corn) --- ¾ cup
Baking soda --- 1 Teaspoon
Cooking soda --- ½ teaspoon

Preparation Time: Within 15 Minutes
Cooking Time: 45 Minutes

Pre-Heat: 10 Minutes

Total Time: 1 Hour 10 Minutes.

Serves: 4-5


Preparation:

               Combine the flour, baking soda, cooking soda and mix it thoroughly.  Mix milk, sugar and oil in a bowl. Mix both the mixtures in a bowl without any lumps. Now in this batter add dates, nuts and mix thoroughly.

Grease a non-stick pan or vessel, and transfer the batter into it. You can even set butter paper in the vessel and pour the batter into it, depends on your convenience. Spread the batter evenly and pat the pan with few shakes, to remove any air pockets that might remain.

               Set the cooker with only the trivet (plate given along with cooker) and pre-heat for around ten to fifteen minutes in a stove.

Now set the pan containing batter, inside cooker and close the Lid, without gasket and weight valve. Cook for 15 minutes in high flame. After that, cook it for 30 minutes in a low flame.

            After 30 minutes low flame cooking, test the cake to see whether it is fully baked, by inserting a wooden skewer in to the centre of the cake. The skewer will comes out free of batter, when cake is ready. Now set it aside to cool.

               After it becomes to normal temperature, take the spatula or sharp knife and run it around the edges of the cake, to remove the cake out of the pan.

               Cut the cake into the shapes you prefer and serve, as it can be eaten as such.
               If you prefer to decorate with fruits, nuts, and icing, while serving, then that too taste yummy.

Warnings: 
 
Don’t Use Weight Valve and gasket in cooker.
            For ten minutes, Pre-heat cooker, with only the flat plate (Trivet).
 
Measurements should be accurate as given.
Tips:


               You can add sugar free substitute, instead of sugar for diabetic people.
Alternate methods:
If you prefer to make cake with oven, then prepare the batter as above mentioned,  preheat the oven and cook for 30 minutes at 180 c.
If you prefer butter instead of oil can prepare the batter with butter instead of oil.
If you prefer, either only nuts or dates, you can prepare it as either one of them.
If trivet not available, then fill the bottom of the cooker with sand.
